Former Syracuse guard Michael Carter-Williams has 26 points in NBA Summer League debut

Former Syracuse guard Michael Carter-Williams was up and down in his first start for the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday in the NBA Summer League at Orlando.

Carter-Williams scored 26 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out eight assists in an 88-80 loss to the Houston Rockets. The blemishes on his box score were nine turnovers and an 0-for-6 mark from behind the 3-point line.

Carter-Williams was 8-for-23 from the field and 10-for-11 from the free-throw line in 34 minutes of action.

Former Syracuse forward James Southerland scored four points and grabbed three rebounds in 15 minutes of action for the 76ers. Southerland was 2-for-8 from the field and o-for-1 from long range.
