Iridium Expanding Tech Business To Russia ? Satellite PR News

Iridium Communications Inc.?s Russian division has received government approval to operate commercially in that country, the company announced Monday. Service will go live by the second quarter of 2012 after the company completes technical licensing requirements. CEO Matt Desch said the company expects to attract at least 40 percent of the mobile satellite service market in Russia in 2015, adding that this market could be worth between $70 and $100 million.
