Peter MacKay posts wedding photo to Facebook

Defence Minister Peter MacKay has offered Canadians a glimpse into his recent nuptials with a photograph posted to his Facebook account.
The snapshot appears to show MacKay and his bride Nazanin Afshin-Jam leaving a chapel in Mexico after their wedding ceremony last Wednesday.
In the photo, both MacKay and Afshin-Jam are smiling from ear to ear as off-camera guests shower them with white rose petals.
The two are shown descending the chapel steps hand-in-hand.
Afshin-Jam, who is an Iranian-born activist and former beauty queen, sported a simple white gown with white straps and a slight cowl neck.
Her hair was fixed into a loose updo with volume at the top and sides. A long white veil fluttered behind her. She capped the look off with a bouquet of white lilies in her right hand.
Minister MacKay set off his bride's outfit with a straightforward black-and-white tuxedo, complete with a white pocket square.
Though the photo was posted to MacKay's Facebook account on Saturday morning without a caption, his supporters caught on and within hours hundreds of well-wishers had commented on the image.
There's been buzz on various social media networks about the Minister's nuptials since late December when rumours began circulating about his possible engagement.
A Twitter user even posted a spoof photo to the micro-blogging website with the caption "Exclusive first pic of Peter MacKay's honeymoon escape!" It showed an altered image of a search-and-rescue helicopter, a riff on the Central Nova Scotia MP's recent fishing village controversy.
